Ayurveda by Kari

The literal meaning of Ayurveda is “Science of Life”. Being the sister science to yoga, the practice of ayurveda has been around for over 5000 years. It has withstood the test of time and countless generations. Known as “your grandmother’s medicine” ayurveda addresses the root causes of disease. When you remove the root cause the “dis-ease” or imbalance resolves itself. Ayurveda’s teachings are about achieving balance, feeling better and living in a state of wellness and vibrancy on a daily basis. Western medicine treats the symptoms and often causes even more issues with the side effects of today’s pharmaceuticals. Wellness is a word that gets tossed around a lot. It’s trendy, it’s in and everyone is doing it. However, wellness is the compound effect of every choice you make, every single day.
We are very powerful in influencing our own lives. Everything that we do affects who we are and how we feel. The foundation of our health is established by the daily choices we make, and a real sense of wellness comes from a commitment you make to yourself, a choice you make every day that is for you and only you. It’s not the big things that count in the long run, it’s the little things that make the biggest impact when you add
them up.
How you nourish yourself – on every level – determines the quality of your life. Through Ayurveda we can heal ourselves from years of damaging habits. It takes time and commitment but we are the most powerful beings and the only ones who can take ourselves on this journey. Having a trained guide to assist you on your path is vital.
Let me help you to heal yourself.
